LOCATION

The New Theater is located at 536 N. 7th Street on the campus of Indiana State University, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Dreiser Theater is located at 221 N. 6th Street on the campus of Indiana State University, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

PARKING

Convenient parking is available on the Indiana State University campus. Parking is free in the evenings and on weekends.

For the New Theater, park in Lot 13 or Lot M. Both have accessible spaces; Lot 13 is closer but has a slight incline, whereas Lot M is slightly further away but it is level the entire way.

For Dreiser Hall, park in Lot 5. This lot has accessible spaces; it is a one-block, level walk from this parking lot to the theater.

ARRIVING FROM THE NORTH

If you are arriving via US41 or US63, you will merge onto 3rd Street (US41) as you enter Terre Haute. 

New Theater: Turn left on Locust Street (before going over the overpass) and right on 7th Street. Passing the railroad tracks, you can turn right on Tippecanoe Street and then turn left at the stop sign to enter the parking lot just north of the New Theater.

Dreiser Hall: Continue on 3rd Street and turn left onto Wabash Avenue. Turn left onto 6th Street. Turn left onto Cherry Street, then take a quick right onto the parking lot (Lot 5).

ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH/WEST/EAST

If you are arriving via I-70 (East or Westbound), exit the freeway on US41 (exit 7) and turn north (look for Indiana State University signs). Continue to Wabash Avenue and turn right. Drive through downtown Terre Haute and:

New Theater: Turn left at N. 7th Street. Drive through the Indiana State University campus and after about a mile, you will see the New Theater to your left.  You may then turn right into Parking Lot M or continue to Tippecanoe Street where you will turn left. Turn left again at the stop sign to enter the parking lot just north of the New Theater.

Dreiser Hall: Turn right onto 6th Street. Turn left onto Cherry Street, then take a quick right onto the parking lot (Lot 5).
